Is Main Street Square part of the City of Rapid City?
Main Street Square is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit that does not receive any city funding. Although we open our space to all community members, we are still a private property.
Where does Main Street Square get its funding?
Main Street Square is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit that runs on a mixture of donations from our Partner in Progress, a small amount of event proceeds, and grants.
Does Main Street Square take a stance on political topics?
No. Although Main Street Square is a privately owned, 501(c)(3) nonprofit we do not take sides on political topics. That being said, we are a non-biased venue. With prior approval, we allow renters and vendors to share their messages freely, as long as they are family friendly.
Are pets allowed in the Square?
We are sure your pet is always on its best behavior, but for the safety of park visitors, please leave your dog at home. Service animals are welcome.
Where should I park?
Downtown has many options to fit your parking needs. The first option is the city parking ramp with more than 500 spaces. Parking is metered on the first level of the ramp and enforced by the City of Rapid City, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 am to 5 p.m. Enter your license plate number and payment at a kiosk upon arrival.

If the Skate Shack/Visitor Information Center is not open, visit our office at 512 Main Street, Suite 980, during business hours.
How do I become a vendor, sponsor or rent the Square?
Please visit our “Get Involved” page for all of our participation options.
Can I skateboard, rollerblade or ride my bicycle in the Square?
For your safety and for the safety of others, Main Street Square does not allow skateboarding, rollerblading, or bicycling in the plaza. A skateboarding park is located a couple blocks north of the Square on New York Street, across from the Journey Museum.
Can I perform on the stage or hold an event?
